So far Singapore....

Well... This blog was supposed to start circa 9 months ago, when I was sitting at home bored. I spent few hours picking the right photo, thinking about what to write for my intro etc etc. By the end of it I was entertained enough with the idea of having a blog, exactly where I stopped and moved on with my life...  Just to be back another bored Saturday night, where I chose to stay at home!

I moved to Singapore last year from London. As pretty much any expat in Singapore, I work in finance. Here is my problem. I am 30 years old, have been living on my own for a while now, but honestly I have no freaking idea about how to entertain myself when I am home. I am the happiest person in the whole world when I am chasing things one after the other, but at the times like this when I feel completely burnt out and exhausted I decide to stop. When I do stop, I sleep, I eat, I read cheesy novels and I watch loads of cheesy TV series. Then I find myself staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out how to stay in without dying out of boredom. Makes me wonder sometimes, if the whole run and chase is my subconscious defence mechanism, purely because I don't quite know what to do with myself!?

Anyhow, the idea of me starting this blog was to keep my friends updated with my life in happening Singapore. When I say happening,  that was my idea of Singapore at the time. It was pretty exciting at the very beginning, as it felt all new and different, but in time it just became routine as any other place you go. I do enjoy living here, it is easy life but when I don't need to work or not off to an exotic island for the weekend, I don't really know what to do with myself. And I usually end up having brunch with friends, going to malls to do some shopping and partying, which wears of very quickly and the next thing you know I am sitting in the office on a Saturday catching up on my emails, reading research etc. Lame?..... I know...

Don't jump onto the conclusion that I am boring right away. In actual fact, you can go ahead and conclude, I don't know you so I don't really care... I am very new to the whole blogging concept. So don't think there are people out there who are actually browsing blog after blog. I have no intention to blog about any useful material like cooking, travelling, photography, make up...etc. I will just write as I please. I just noticed that I committed a major blogging crime by naming my blog with my actual name in it!!! What a rookie mistake! If my name were to be Jane or Sarah it wouldn't be an issue I guess, but what are the chances of being more Eces in Singapore... pretty damn low.

Anyhow, here goes the first post... If you are really reading this, I have to say I am impressed! How you managed to find this unspecial blog among gazillion other functional ones will remain as a mystery...

PS: Do we even get to sign the posts? God, I am humiliating myself in cyber space, when I don't even have the excuse to be drunk. Is it what they call ageing or I'm simply evolving in the opposite direction compared to the rest of the mankind?!
